Fundraising Ending; Continued Care Donations Welcome
Tomorrow morning, bright and early, Sir Noggin will begin surgery. Thanks to all who have made this possible.

We'll be starting a new ChipIn for those who have expressed interest in contributing to his continued care in the weeks to come.

Thank you all again. I can't write much now, as I am exhausted and anxious about tomorrow. Please continue to follow his detailed updates on www.sirnoggin.com and www.facebook.com/sirnoggin!

Pre-Surgery Update
Thanks for your continued support of our kitten, Sir Noggin!

Weare getting very close to Sir Noggin's surgery at Cornell. The doctorsare going to have a lot of careful, delicate work to do on our guy andthey're going to keep him with them for a week to monitor him closely. It is an anxious time for us because there seem to be so many thingsthat could go wrong. We love him so much and surgery is what he needsto have a safe and normal future, but there are very real risks, too.Your support has been amazing through all of this.

The newestimate for the brain surgery alone is $4,500, so we'll be changingour ChipIn widget to reflect the new total goal. Thanks to all of you whohave already donated, helped spread the word, or offered us your kindwords and prayers. Sir Noggin has a whole family out there, all overthe world, sending good thoughts his way, and if any kitten canovercome these odds, it's him. He is growing, learning, and playingevery day. His headaches still come every week or two, and when theydo, it is very evident that he needs this treatment. We love him somuch and are hoping for the best!

Thanks again!

Goal Reached!
Thank you all so much for your amazing generosity toward Sir Noggin. Thank to you, we have reached our goal of raising $4,000, the estimate we were given for the surgeries to fix Sir Noggin's head. He has his MRI on Monday and once the vets see what is truly going on in that head of his, they'll really know what the options are for this little guy. We are so thankful for your help - those who donated and those who continued to pass the link around - it means so much to us. We'll be sure to keep you updated about Sir Noggin's progress. If you haven't already checked out www.sirnoggin.com and facebook.com/sirnoggin please stop by and say hello!
Sir Noggin's upcoming MRI
Sir Noggin will get an MRI of his head (this is even better than a CT scan!) on October 12th. We'll be able to find out a lot then about what his future involves. The MRI will tell us whether or not surgery is truly an option for this scrappy fellow. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the donations coming in from all around the world. Thank you all so much for helping this kitten get the best medical treatment money can buy a kitten. He is the luckiest deformed formally feral kitten in the world. =) We love him very much and we will continue to keep his best interests in mind as we move forward. Your donations will fund out travel to the vet for the MRI and the anesthesia. The vet has donated the price of the MRI (valued at $2,000). Sir Noggin is a very unique kitten and I will continue to keep you all updated as we learn new things.
Sir Noggin's Update
We still won't see the vet until tomorrow, but she has seen Sir Noggin's video and we now have a little more information.

Sir Noggin will need to have his cyst removed surgically so that his brain is not in danger of being damaged, and after it is removed, they're going to make sure his brain is protected by synthetic means. Our friend (& vet) Tonya has given Greta a full update by phone today, and tonight I'll be re-editing the video slightly to focus on the fundraising campaign. We'll need to raise about $4,000 for Sir Noggin's surgery. The good news is, people think that this is very doable given the video and that there are people willing to help us get the word out to as many people as possible.

Right now, we've raised $212 which is way more than I honestly expected to raise before his appointment, tomorrow. It means that Greta and I can let the vets run whatever tests they need tomorrow without worrying about how to pay for it. Thank you all so much for your contributions!!!

Thanks to those who have contributed!
We never expected such an amazing outpouring of donations. Within the first day of donations, we have enough to cover the cost of Saturday's vet appointment. Our friend says that, on Saturday, the vet may be able to take a little needle to aspirate some fluid out to make him more comfy but he may need to be sedated with the brains so exposed and all... We can't really give Sir Noggin pain meds like you would a person with a headache, because they're very toxic to cats. We think it's very likely that at some point, the whole thing will need to be surgically removed. Hopefully, we can get a glimpse at his Noggin on Saturday and see if his skull has closed up more or not. While it will never fully close, there was some hope that it hadn't finished trying. I'll be filming whatever I can on our adventure and keeping you guys informed. Thank you so much to those who have offered donations, prayers, and kind words to the little guy. We can't say how much it means to us!
This guy deserves a chance.
We're doing everything we can for this guy on a very limited budget. Any little amount you could donate - even if it's a dollar or two - will help us make sure Sir Noggin gets the best medical opinions and treatments.

Everybody deserves a shot. This guy is a happy, normal kitten most of the time, but when he has a bad day, it sure isn't fun. Find Sir Noggin of Loxley on Facebook to stay up to date on the latest information.
